Pushing limits to
bleary-eyed proportions,
dipping between realms pseudosomnabulist.
Dreams leaking in from beyond
to colour the current fabric.
Time blinking between shutterspeeds,
rival velocities
contesting for supremecy.
Sleep a reluctant state
of detente deliberately resisted it seems
with fluttery f-stop instilled insomnia.
Sleep dep like a fallout
turning ecology brittle and sharp
creating tectonic plates
to shift and scrape psychologically
throwing up mountains on impact.
The bedrock cracked, split.
Violent upheavals of sanity and somatic stabi lit y.
And sleep lurks,
hiding from the heathens,
sending out encrypted SOS
signals towards some kind of bliss or rest,
confused by its victimization.
The downswinging rejuvenation patterns
of circadian rhythms an
incomparable hiatus
from world wars and disaster.
